On 8 September, Coreso had the privilege of welcoming Belgian Minister Annelies Verlinden – responsible for the North Sea, together with ambassadors from 11 ASEAN countries, representatives from Elia Group and Elia Grid International (EGI), and a representative of the Belgian Marine Environment Department.
The visit provided an opportunity to showcase how European Transmission System Operators (TSOs) collaborate across borders and to explain the role of Regional Coordination Centres (RCCs) in supporting them maintaining a secure and efficient electricity system.
During the visit, the delegation gained insights into Coreso’s 24/7 operational activities and how coordinated regional actions help optimise electricity exchanges while strengthening the reliability and resilience of Europe’s interconnected power grid. The discussions also provided a valuable platform to exchange views on regional coordination, energy infrastructure, and international cooperation.
We are grateful for the strong interest shown in our activities and the expertise of our employees. We would like to thank all participants for the engaging discussions and constructive exchanges on the future of energy systems.
