Coreso’s participation in the Berlin Hackathon

On 9 and 10 September, Coreso proudly participated in the Berlin Hackathon hosted by 50Hertz, bringing together some of Europe’s experts in energy innovation. Representing Coreso, our colleagues Tamás Borbáth, Daniel Craveiro and Ignacio Báscones presented a solution designed to enhance real-time operator awareness.

Our solution? A layered visual support tool for real-time operator awareness.
Our team developed a prototype focused on helping grid operators navigate grid complexity with intuitive, evolving visual layers. The tool includes:

  • Grid overview map: Live visualisation of potential congestion zones to help operators quickly localise risk.
  • Ranked constraints: Displays the top N most critical constraints, ranked by impact, to help prioritise attention and actions.
  • Constraint evolution: Shows how forecasts and contingency results evolve over time, building context, confidence, and better anticipation.


This layered approach improves situational awareness in fast-changing environments, reduces information overload, and integrates seamlessly into existing workflows –no need to start from scratch.

The event was a great opportunity to exchange ideas, test hypotheses, and push the boundaries of what’s possible in grid operations and market forecasting. Our participation also shows Coreso’s commitment to innovation, excellence and collaboration across Europe’s energy landscape!
